Mentor’s girls’ golf team returns six letter winners from last year’s squad that finished third in the Greater Cleveland Conference.

The Cardinals enter the season with five juniors and a sophomore expected to lead the team up the conference standings.

“I’m extremely excited about this season with returning six letter winners, five juniors and one sophomore, from last year,” said Mentor ninth year coach Dan Wolf. “Several of the juniors have two solid years of experience.”

Nicole Betz, a two-year letter winner posted a low score of 42 last season. Sam Bostleman, another junior with two letters to her credit, shot a low of 47 in 2017. Juniors Hailey Bryan and Aditi Patel both shot 45 last fall and sophomore Holly Burke enters the season with a personal best score of 46.

“We are looking to improve on our third place finish last year in the GCC,” Wolf said. “We also hope to play better in many of our invitationals that we play in over the season.”
