    Hornets hang tough at CVC tournament


    PERRY–Kirtland’s tennis team turned in a strong performance at the 2019 Chagrin Valley Conference tournament at Perry on Monday.

    The Hornets earned runner-up finishes in first singles, second singles, third singles and second doubles and also took home third place in first doubles.

    Justin Aranavage represented the Hornets in first singles, Kyle Lutz played second singles and Nisha Makkar placed second at third singles. Lance Dolovacky and Nate Cardon played second doubles and Lauren Lutz and Paul Kosem teamed up at first doubles.

    Haley Adams
    Haley Adams is a 2016 graduate of Cardinal High School. She is currently in her third year at Hiram College with a major in Communications and a minor in Writing. Haley, a three-sport standout at Cardinal, has participated in many athletic events at Hiram and plans to become a sports broadcaster.
