    North Royalton shuts down Mentor, 4-0, to split NOC Valley series


    North Royalton scored four runs in the top of the seventh to break a scoreless tie and go on for a 4-0 win over host Mentor on April 29.

    The Cardinals were held to four hits – one each by Tyler Thompson, Ricky Valeri, Tommy Noll and Matt Eiswerth.

    Eiswerth pitched six innings for Mentor, striking out six batters and throwing 94 pitches.

    The Cardinals defeated the Bears, 5-1, on the road on April 28.
