MAYFIELD–North quarterback Anthony Gallo closed out his career by engineering a game-winning drive in the 2022 News-Herald Senior Bowl on Friday.

With the score tied 20-20, Gallo lined up under center and led the White team into field goal range with 19 seconds left in the game. West Geauga’s Joey DiLalla booted a 28-yard field goal and the White team’s defense recovered a fumble to seal the 23-20 victory.

Gallo finished the game 5-for-12 passing for 44 yards, none more important than the eight to Kirtland’s Mason Rus to convert a fourth-down try late in the contest.

North’s Robbie Kunsman, Mo Morgan, Lorenzo Casanova, and Brody Spock also played in the Senior Bowl.

Morgan recorded three tackles for the White team.
