    Rangers clinch Summer League title

    WILLOUGHBY–Kailey Minch scored a game-high 14 points in North’s 52-37 win over Madison in the championship game of the North Shore Summer League at Lost Nation Sports Park on Wednesday.

    The Rangers finished the season with an 8-0 record while Madison was 6-2.

    Chloe Bancroft led the Blue Streaks with 13 points.

    Riverside beat Hawken, 60-21, in the third-place game. Samantha Volpe scored 15 points in the win. Riverside closed out the season with a 6-2 record while Hawken finished 3-5.

    Shaker Heights (4-4) edged Chagrin Falls (2-6) for fifth place. The Red Raiders beat the Tigers in overtime, 29-28. Samayah Bradley led Shaker with six points while Peyton Gellin scored 14 for the Tigers.

    Kirtland closed out the summer league with a 40-31 win over Cornerstone Christian Academy. Kennedy Boyd led the Hornets with nine points. The Hornets finished 3-5 while Cornerstone was 0-8.
