    VASJ’s Carlton Bragg leads D-III All-Ohio team; Pardon and Parker earn 2nd team honors

    Villa Angela-St. Joseph senior Carlton Bragg was named the Associated Press Division III Player of the Year on March 24.

    Bragg – a Kansas recruit and McDonald's All-American – averaged 21 points per game and led the D-III All-Ohio first team, while teammates Dererk Pardon and Brian Parker earned second-team All-Ohio honors.

    Parker (Marist recruit), who was the NCL White Division MVP and the Ohio co-player of the year in D-III as a junior, averaged 16 points per game. Pardon, who is headed to Northwestern, averaged 12.3 points and led the team in rebounds.

    Senior guard Simon Texidor was named an All-Ohio honorable mention selection.

    VASJ takes a 21-4 record into a D-III state semifinal on March 26 vs. Columbus Eastmoor Academy.
