    The Vipers 11U squad opened its fall schedule with a pair of wins over the weekend including a 10-1 win over Ohio Energy and a 6-5 nailbiter over Mentor Big Red.

    Claire Ley and Cally Folino both hit 1.000 with Ley recording a team-best three runs batted in and two runs scored.

    Kamryn Fern hit .750 (3-for-4) and Harper Bammerlin added a pair of hits as she finished the weekend with a .667 batting average.

    Sophia Starr hit .500 (1-for-2) with a double and a team-best three RBI and she drew a team-high three walks.

    Adalynn Sedmak, Audrey Kobetitsch, and Laney Kothera also hit .500 with Kothera also drawing three walks.

    Brielle Bretz threw three of the seven innings in the circle for the Vipers. She allowed four earned runs on three hits and struck out eight.

    Bammerlin and Kobetitsch both pitched two innings and allowed one run on one hit. Kobetitsch struck out six while Bammerlin fanned three.

    The Vipers play Vipers 12U on Saturday.
