Orange and NDCL captured Division II sectional championships Tuesday, while Gilmour Academy, Perry and West Geauga also advanced as teams. Five more area golfers qualified individually on a postseason day when a single stroke — or even a playoff hole — determined whose season continued.

Four division tournaments produced four team champions and seven medalists as Orange, Perry, Fairview and Kirtland closed out the CVC boys golf season with postseason titles. Charlie Thomas and Dylan Phillips posted the low rounds of the four tournaments with matching 72s.

Peter Fischer shot a match-low 34 and Chagrin Falls swept the top five spots in a 151-176 win over Chardon to remain in the CVC race.
